As a high school substitute teacher, I was dealing with young people who upon learning I was a Vietnam combat veteran, asked me to write a short book about my first tour of Vietnam. I realized the book would have to be geared toward very young people so I omitted all bad language and much of the graphic descriptions of war. This book should be read by people over the age of 14.</p>
